A few weeks ago Tribeca PR invited me to the launch of Floyd’s Barbershop in Fourways. However, my schedule was hectic that week and I messed up the dates and confused a meeting for the launch. So I ended up arriving a day too early and couldn’t make it the next day as I had a meeting.
After missing the launch Tony, my new buddy at Tribeca PR, gave me a phone call. He said that they were really keen on having me at the launch and were disappointed to hear I couldn’t make it. He said I needed to experience the Floyd’s first hand. I was given a branded Floyd’s Barbershop flash drive as well as a voucher for a free haircut and shave at Floyd’s. Thats the part where I really felt important. He went out of his way to make me included. Thanks Tony.
Yesterday (15th August), I went into Floyd’s to get my haircut and to see just how passionate they are about hair. I love my hair, sometimes a little too much. I could have a conversation about a GHD.
I was greeted with a friendly smile at reception and then handed over to Marzaan. We spoke about how I would like to have my haircut. She did what she needed to do, snip snip and chop chop. I was very happy with end result. After each haircut you get a shoulder massage with some funky machine they have, it’s really cool. I walked out feeling like a million bucks.
Why Floyd’s Barbershop rocks:
1. It’s staff is friendly and passionate with a great atmosphere.
2. It has a internet / coffee stations where you can surf and drink while you wait.
3. Each hairstylist has e-mail, yeah thats right, you can e-mail your hairstylist.
4. Loyalty program, after 10 cuts your next one is free.
